The JA Student Company Program
At Learning Paths School (LPS), we believe in equipping our students with practical skills that extend beyond traditional academics.
This program is an inherent feature of the Class XI & XII Commerce Curriculum at Learning Paths School, Mohali. The school, with limited help from industry volunteers along with its academic staff members, has been nurturing this initiative since 2016. To date, five Student Companies have been formed, operated, and liquidated.
Over a seven-eight months period, the Student Company Program at Learning Paths School teaches Class XI-XII commerce students how to organize and operate a real business. Volunteers from the local business community also work with students during ideation, planning, and operations. This gives students the real-world skills and experience that they need to achieve their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs. The Student Company is owned by its shareholders, which comprise students and staff of the School. The Class XI students act as promoters, elect the Board of Directors, and appoint officers for all four departments of Production, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources. Generally, the following time period is followed for running the company program
A Proof-of-Concept in Entrepreneurship Education
Student-Driven Companies with a Professional Touch
Real-Life Experience within Academic Boundaries
At Learning Paths School, we believe that education should go beyond textbooks, and the JA Company Program exemplifies our commitment to preparing our students for a future filled with opportunities and innovation. Welcome to a journey that bridges the gap between the classroom and the boardroom.
